Q. What are the difference between 4, 6, 8 sensors system?
4 sensors system are for reversing purpose only. 4 sensors are to be installed on the rear bumper of the vehicle.
6 sensors system are for forward and reverse purpose.
2 sensors to be installed on the front bumper while 4 to be installed on the rear bumper.
8 sensors system are for forward and reverse purpose. 4 sensors to be installed on the front bumper while 4 to be installed on the rear bumper.
The more sensors on a bumper the more complete are monitoring the obstacle.
Q. What should I aware when installing the sensors?
The distribution of the sensors and the location of the sensor are very important for the sensitivity of the sensors.
The lowest height of the sensor from the ground should not be less than 50 cm (1.6 ft).
Lower than this distance may cause the sensor to alert all the time. The maximum height of the sensor from the ground should not be taller than 70 csn (2.3ft).
Higher than this distance may cause the sensor is unable to detect some of the obstacle on the ground. The sensor should at the position of pointing horizontally.
Q. Can I paint the sensor to match my car?
Yes. But do not brush the sensor. Only apply spray paint lightly. Too much paint on the sensor will affect the sensitivity.
Q. Can I use other maker sensor to fit on GEARFLAG control module?
No. Our sensors are modified to the code of the control module. And by using our sensors will show the correct information.
Q. How does the front sensor work?
The front sensors will work only when driver are stepping on the brake.
Q. Can I turn off the buzzer alarm?
You can turn off the alarm on the models equipped with monitor.
Q. For the TFT mirror monitor, can I plug in different video source in addition to the camera?
Yes, the TFT mirror monitor is also functioned as a normal LCD monitor. You can choose V1/V2 channel for different video source such as GPS, DVD etc.
Q. Do you sell sensor, camera or other spare parts alone?
Yes, our accessories section has all the necessary kits and spare parts.
Q. Can I install on the steel bumper?
Yes, you can install the sensor on the steel bumper.
Q. Is the control module waterproof?
No, the control module should be stored inside the vehicle away from moisture.
Q. What about the pick up or RV? Can I request for extended cord?
Yes, you can purchase extended cord from us for the sensors.
Q. How safe is my credit card payment and what payment method you are offering?

Unless mentioned, you can return the unsatisfied items within 10 days of receipt.
